The Door

2022

The DMZ is a distinctive ecological environment where forests, wetlands, and grasslands support diverse wildlife, including endangered species. Different species inhabit their own territories while sharing the same environment, moving between habitats and forming ecological relationships. The work explores the ecology of the DMZ through the presence and movement of its wildlife. As animals move across different environments and boundaries, they reveal how these habitats exist as interconnected parts of a larger ecosystem.
